The Challenge

Google’s AR & VR landing page needed a dynamic refresh to feature Google’s many AR & VR product offerings. This refresh needed to mirror the exciting worlds of these product areas with clear pathfinding away from this primary landing page.

Seamless Scroll Introduction

To set the scene of Google’s AR & VR universe of offerings, we imagined a creative treatment in the hero to invoke the multiple worlds of AR & VR; speaking directly to pathos and inspiring the user to explore further. This section is agnostic to any one product, future-proofing the content through years of product evolution.

Exploring persistent navigation

To enable users an easy pathfinding through the many products, we explored an initial approach to navigation that featured a persistent nav element that would expand as users traveled down the page. Also emphasizing a non-linear way to jump to different products.

We landed on orienting users to this navigational element and making it persistent in the navigation. This way users can experience the interactive design and and explore freely.

Interactive News Canvas

Varied Scrolls

To break up “list-like” layouts, each of the product areas features a unique design to support the statement and media pieces that accompany the copy. Animations and transitions between content areas avoid scroll fatigue and bring the content to life.
